The Malta page states that European Parliament elections in Malta use the same conduct and counting provisions as the General Elections Act and that the Maltese Islands are considered one electoral district for those elections.

1. In fact, Section 21 states that the conduct of elections and the counting of votes shall apply according to the provisions in the General Elections Act. A basic difference was that the Maltese Islands were considered as one electoral district.
